RHODODENDRON STATE PARK
LOCATION - The park is 2,5 miles northwest of Fitzwilliam in the Allegheny Mountains off New Hampshire 12.
FEATURES - Over 16 acres of wild rhododendron burst into bloom annually around mid-July in this area, which is designated a Natural National Landmark.
ACTIVITIES - Explore a one-mile path around the entire glen. For additional hiking, follow the one-mile foot trail up Little Monadnock Mountain. For a floral display, hike Wildflower Trail or Laurel Trail that takes you through the rhododendrons.
Captain Sam Patch's Place is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. He fought in the Battle of Bunker Hill in 1775.
