MILLER STATE PARK
LOCATION - The park is located 3 miles east of Peterborough off New Hampshire 101.
FEATURES - Miller State Park is the state's oldest, established in 1891 as a memorial to General James Miller, a hero in the Battle of Lundy's Lane during the War of 1812.
ACTIVITIES - Drive the auto road to the 2,300-foot summit of Pack Monad-nock Mountain or hike Wapack Trail, one of the trails leading up the mountain. From the summit, you can enjoy a picnic or explore additional hiking trails.
Wapack National Wildlife Refuge is off New Hampshire 101 on North Pack Monadnock Mountain, northeast of Miller State Park. The area is a popular hawk migration area. Go hiking, ski touring, and snowshoeing.
