GRASS POINT STATE POINT
LOCATION - The park is 5 miles south of Alexandria Bay off New York 12 in the heart of Thousand Islands. From 1-81, take Clayton Exit 50 south to New York 12 and go one mile toward Clayton to reach Grass Point.
FEATURES - Grass Point offers panoramic views of many islands and of the Rock Island Lighthouse, a National Register's historic site.
ACTIVITIES - The park is open from mid-May through mid-September. Camp in the 78-site campground, 18 with hookups, with a trailer dump station. Bird watchers enjoy birding in the large marsh area.
Go boating from the launch, swimming, and fishing in the St. Lawrence River for bass, pike, muskellunge, and panfish. Northern pike and walleye season begins in May. Black bass season extends from late June-November, and muskie are caught from July-December.
Watch freighters from all over the world traveling the St. Lawrence Seaway from the Atlantic Ocean to Duluth, Minnesota.

In Clayton, tour the Antique Boat Museum, housing the largest collection of antique freshwater vessels in the world. Attend their annual Antique Race Boat Regatta or a fishing tournament.
